AP Govt mulls lawyers in police stations for land disputes
Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said the government was contemplating appointment of lawyers in every police station to deal with land disputes under City and Cyberabad Police Commissionerate Limits.
Addressing the press here, Mr Reddy said land disputes were growing with increasing demand. Combining police and legal authorities could solve many such tangles in a speedy manner.
He would convene a meeting with top police officials to introduce a strengthened mechanism to deal with such disputes.
The Home Department had given instructions to police officials concerned in the city take stern action against gangs who indugled in encroachment.
