Solve Mah-Kar boundary dispute: Marathi Sahitya Sammelan

Sangli, Maharashtra, Jan 21 (UNI) Immediate resolving of the Maharashtra-Karnataka boundary dispute was demanded at the 81st Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, that concluded here today.

The meeting held at the Willingdon College ground here ended this evening, adopting 19 other resolutions.

Demanding resolving of the long pending Maharashtra- Karnataka border dispute, the meet observed that justice should be given to Marathi-speaking people in the border areas.

It was stated that the Union Government home and law departments should place impartial statements before the Supreme Court and Maharashtra Government should press for it.

In another resolution, it was demanded that Maharashtra Government consider providing government services to a large number of jobless young Maharashtrians on a priority basis.

A resolution was also passed to waive-off the farmers loans, as the farmers suicides is a matter of serious concern in the state, the meet observed.
