Shiv Sena's 'Karzamukti dindi' enters Kolhapur
Kolhapur, Jan 20 (UNI) The Shiv Sena organised 'Karzamukti dindi' (waive off farmers' loans march) called 'Hallabol Sangharsh Yatra', after traversing through western Maharashtra, marched into the city's main streets today, shouting slogans in support of their demands.
The 'yatra' was led the Sena MP Shivajirao Aadalrao Patil, MLA Sharad Dhamale, Sena deputy leader Arvind Sawant and others. They were welcomed by the party's city unit chief Rajesh Kshirsagar at the Tembalai temple, before proceeding to Karad en route to Pune.
Their demands include proper price for agriculture produce like sugarcane, onion, milk, other crops, loans waiver, continuous electricty supply, proper rehabilitation of project-affected farmers and others.
The 'dindi' started on January 16 at Shivaneri in Pune district and will end on February three, a Sena leader said.
