Centre to bear expenses of disabled in pvt sector: Pallam Raju

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 20 (UNI) The Centre would bear the expenditure, other than the salary, of the disabled employed in the private sector, Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju said today.

Talking to the press here, Mr Raju said the Centre had earmarked Rs 1,800 crore in the last Budget for creating employment for one lakh disabled, in private sector, during the XI Plan.

Private industries would be asked to provide employment to the disabled after assuring them that the expenditure towards payment of Provident Fund, bonus, gratuity and insurance would be borne by the Centre.
