Physically challenged woman allegedly murdered by kin

Barrackpore, Jan 19 (UNI) A physically challenged woman was allegedly murdered by her elder brother and sister-in-law here at Anandapuri School Road in North 24 Parganas.

Police said here today that an FIR was lodged by the victim's brother-in-law, and an investigation was launched. However, no one had been arrested so far.

The victim Pampa Bose (35) was admitted to the sub-divisional hospital here yesterday with severe injuries. She succumbed to her injuries early today.

She was allegedly assaulted and strangulated by her elder brother and sister-in-law.

Both the accused were absconding, police said, adding the body was sent for post-mortem.
