CBI interrogates Shahabuddin in Tarun Tejpal case

Siwan, Jan 18 (UNI) A team of CBI officials today interrogated incarcerated RJD MP Mohhamed Shahabuddin inside Siwan jail in connection with a failed conspiracy to kill chief of Teahelka Dot Com Tarun Tejpal and his associates.

After the permission granted by district and sessions judge Gyaneswar Srivastav, the CBI team led by Deputy Superintendent of police Hari Singh interrogated the RJD MP incide Siwan jail in connection the case.

According to the FIR, Md Shahabuddin had allegedly asked a notorious criminal Bhupendra Tyagi, from Uttar Pradesh to kill Mr Tejpal and his friend Anirudh Bahal in 2001.Before, Tyagi could act on dictat from Md Shahabuddin, police unarthed the consparacy.

Later, the case was handed over to CBI in 2005.
