Humber College offers undergraduate bachelor degrees to Indians

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Canada-based Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning today announced its five new four-year specialised business degrees for Indian students in the fields of International Business, Tourism Management, Fashion Management, Human Resources Management, and e-Business Marketing for its November 2008 session.

''Canada is opening its doors to international students and Humber College offers them the opportunity to become successful professionals, whether they choose to apply their skills in Canada or anywhere in the world,'' Ms Wendy Gallegos, International Recruitment Officer, Humber College, told mediapersons here.

The first two years of study in Humber, which ranks among the top 12 institutes of North America and Canada, are built on the platform of a solid business education offering courses in marketing, accounting, economics and law. During the third and fourth year of the bachelor's degree, students work towards a specialisation by gaining practical skills through applied projects linked to business, real companies and industry, she said.

Each degree also offers one full-semester of paid work placement, which is valued as hands-on experience by employers, Ms Gallegos added.

Indian students who enroll in any of these five specialised bachelor degrees, would have access to Entrance Scholarships based on academic performance, she added.
