Chairman MC Bandipora escaped bid on life in north Kashmir
Srinagar Jan 17 (UNI) Chairman of the Municipal Committee Bandipora and his family members had a narrow escape when militants attacked his house with a hand grenade last evening, official sources said today.
They said unidentified militants hurled a grenade towards the residence of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi at ward number five, Bandipora, last evening.
However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded at a distance outside the house without causing any damage.
Chairman and his family members escaped unhurt, they added.
Meanwhile, CRPF during routine checking recovered a hand grenade from a vehicle at Kanispora Baramulla.
