Punjab Roadways promotion cases to be decided by Jan 31

Chandigarh, Jan 15 (UNI) Announcing a new year bonanza for Punjab Roadways employees, the Punjab Government today issued instructions to process the promotion cases of Roadways employees by January 31.

Stating this here today, Transport Minister Master Mohan Lal said incentives would be given to employees after reviewing their performance.

The Minister after meeting the Punjab Roadways Employees Action Committee assured them that the state government would accede to their genuine demands as early as possible.

The Minister said to promote the field and workshop employees of the department, rules were being amended and the case would be put up before the next cabinet meeting.

The Transport Minister also assured that the pending cases to provide jobs on compassionate grounds to the beneficiaries of deceased employees would also be cleared soon. The arrears of pending overtime of the Roadways employees would also be released as early as possible, he added.
