Adlabs Cinemas wins 'Retailer of the Year' Award

Mumbai, Jan 12 (UNI) The Jury of 'India Retail Summit 2007' presented Adlabs Cinemas with the ''Retailer of the Year'' Award in the Entertainment and Fun category at the Reid&Taylor Awards for Retail Excellence.

''Retailer of the Year'' is the ultimate award presented to an individual, exclusive brand or multi-brand retailer of Fashion, Food, Beauty, Leisure and Entertainment, which has a single outlet or more and has shown outstanding performance with expansion within the boundaries of its operation in the previous year.

Tushar Dhingra, COO - Adlabs Cinemas, accepted the award last thursday on behalf of the company. Other nominees included PVR, Cinemax and Inox.

In the year to come, more than 20 million people are expected to watch a movie on an Adlabs screen. With 40 properties and 118 screens, Adlabs Cinemas is the largest cinema chain in the country and is on its way towards redefining entertainment in India with its differentiated marketing strategy cutting across metros and non-metros, a release said.

Adlabs, a member of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, is the only integrated movie and entertainment company in India with a presence in production of films, TV content and animation, film processing and services, domestic and international distribution of content and the largest cinema chain in the country, the release added.
