Ex-gratia of Rs 8.25 lakh sanctioned

Srinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 8.25 lakhs for victim of militancy in the south Kashmir district of Kulgam, an official spokesman said.

He said the Screening Committee of Kulgam district meeting was held here under the chairmanship of District Magistrate to discuss compensation cases in favour of victims of militancy.

He added that during the meeting, which was also attended by senior officers of police and Army, an ex-gratia relief of Rs one lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of seven persons, who were killed in different violent incidents.

Rs one lakh and 25000 has also sanctioned for two injured persons, he said.
