NREG Act to be connected with commercial information system

Siddharthnagar, Jan 6 (UNI) With a view to curbing the migration of rural people in urban areas, the UPA government at the Centre has decided to connect a commercial information system with the National Rural Employment Guarantee (NREG) Act.

National workshop for the NREG Act was recently organised at Hyderabad.

Sant Kabirnagar district Chief Development Officer Pramod Chandra Srivastava, who attented the workshop, today told UNI that the informations related to the Act would soon be on-line.

The state government had been directed for the same, he added.
