Protests against 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' intensify

Ahmedabad, Jan 5 (UNI) Protests against television producer Ekta Kapoor's serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' intensified as a massive rally was organised by the members of Vaishnav sect in Junagadh today.

The rally was organised against an objectionable dialogue regarding 'Thakorjee', presiding deity of the Vaishnav sect, in the popular soap.

The protest rally was joined by several saints and religious leaders of the sect. Meanwhile, some prominent Hindu saints have expressed shock and disamy over the dialogue.

A recent episode of the serial included a scene were Trupti, the daughter-in-law of the family, says, ''Bhaad Mein Jao Aap Aur Aapke Thakorjee'' (you and your Thakorjee can go to hell) to her mother-in-law in the serial.

The scene had angered Vaishnavites all over the country and the wave of protest is spreading overseas as well.
