Property, worth more than Rs 15 Lakh, destroyed in fire

Phagwara, Jan 5 (UNI) Property, worth more than Rs 15 Lakh, was destroyed in a major fire which broke out in a store and house at Dhillon Nagar this afternoon.

Fire tenders from Phagwara and Jalandhar worked hard for more than two hours to control the fire, in which valudable goods, including steel, wooden furniture and household articles, were destroyed.

The cause of fire could not be known yet, but the entire furniture and household goods of the house on the first floor were reduced to ashes in the fire.
