Photographers felicitated for their act on New year's eve
Mumbai, Jan 5 (UNI) Two photographers of a national English daily, who captured the alleged molestors of two NRI women in their camera on the New year's night were felicitated by the Bhartiya Patrakar Vikas Parishad, here today.
Lauding the role of the lensmen, former Union Petroleum Minister and senior BJP leader Ram Naik said, the photographers did a good job and set an example for others to follow.
''The lensmen, after clicking the photographs, called the police for help, which shows their presence of mind as the story was not the only thing on their mind,'' said Mr Naik, while talking as the chief guest at the function.
Two NRI women were allegedly molested by a group of people on new year night after they were returning from a party at a five star hotel at Juhu.
The parishad is a social organisation working for the welfare of the mediapersons.
