BJP victories in Gujarat, Himachal has shaken Cong: Shahnawaz

Samastipur, Jan 5 (UNI) BJP MP and senior leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain today said the party's landslide victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections has shaken the foundation of the Congress.

Speaking to the media, Mr Husain said the BJP had registered a massive victory in the Gujarat Assembly polls. The result was repeated in Himachal Pradesh as well.

''It is a positive sign and acceptance of the fact that the mandate for the party has increased manifold which will immensely help the NDA to prove its majority on the floor of the House in the next Lok Sabha election,'' he observed.

He also appreciated the developmental work being carried out in Bihar by the Nitish Kumar led NDA government.

Rejecting the charge of red-tapeism in Bihar, Mr Hussain said the Nitish Kumar government was doing a commendable job to bring efficiency in the administration and the charges of over-powering bureaucrats is baseless.

He accused the RJD and LJP of promoting nepotism in their parties. ''The minorities will not be disillusioned any more by such parties and support us on incumbency factor,'' he claimed.
