India, Egypt to sign Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty
New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) India and Egypt will sign two agreements for Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal matters and Transfer of Sentenced Persons during the official visit of Home Minister Shivraj Patil to that country from tomorrow.
During his five-day visit, Mr Patil will hold discussions with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and other leaders including the country's Interior Minister General Habib Ibrahim Habib El Adly on issues of bilateral interest.
Regional and international issues, including security matters, are expected to figure during the disscussions.
The two countries are already cooperating in various areas including the oil sector.
Indian investments in Egypt are to the tune of 320 million US Dollars.
