Cabinet approves MoU on Renewable Energy Coop with Iceland

New Delhi, Jan 3 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today accorded approval of the MOU between India and Iceland on Cooperation in Renewable Energy.

The MOU seeks both countries to identify areas of mutual interest and coooperation for the development of new and renewable energy technologies, systems, devices, components and so on as well as monitor and evaluate the cooperation activities, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the meeting.

The MoU was signed here on October 9, 2007 and became effective from that date only.
