Two Army personnel killed in road accident in HP

Chamba, Jan 1 (UNI) At least two army men were killed and five injured, one of them seriously, after their vehicle fell into a gorge in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, police today said.

The accident occurred at Bakloh, about 80 km from here, on the Chamba-Pathankot road in the district yesterday afternoon.

The police said the Army personnel were admitted to a government hospital at Bakloh where two of them were identified as Naik S Roni and Lance Naik Thing Kaliyan.

One of the seriously injured in the accident and identified as Prashant Roka had been referred to a government hospital at Pathankot after being administered first aid at Bakloh.

Police said four others injured in the accident were undergoing treatment at Bakloh government hospital.

The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, the police said, adding that a case has been registered and investigations are on.
