Chittor: 6 hurt in clashes b/w Gujjar, shop owners
Chittorgarh, June 2: Six people were injured in clashes between agitating Gujjars, who tried to enforce a bandh in Badi Sadari township in Chittorgarh, and resisting shop owners here.
According to police sources, Gujjars came out to the streets brandishing batons and arms and tried to enforce a bandh. They asked for the closure of shops in the area without any notice at around 1100 hrs this morning. The shop owners resisted the move which resulted in a clash between the two groups.
Six people including a woman have been injured in the clashes.
The police later reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
