Another round of talks between Gujjars, officials

Jaipur, May 31: Gujjar leaders and the state Cabinet Ministers deputed for talks are likely to meet here this evening.

The first round of talks was held in Dausa late last night.

Four Cabinet Ministers Sanwar Lal Jat, Laxmi Narayan Dave, Digamber Singh and Rajendra Rathore will mediate from the government side while eight Gujjar leaders will represent the community.

Sources said Gujjar leaders have left Dausa for Jaipur.

They are said to be adamant on their demand to send the report on providing them ST status to the Central Government soon.

Meanwhile, the government has convened an all-party meeting at Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's residence, which is slated to begin at 1730 hrs today.
