MCD seals 151 units, some oppn in Hari Nagar
New Delhi, Nov 17: The Municipal corporation of Delhi today sealed 151 commercial establishments in the city and except for Hari Nagar, it did not meet any resistance.
Falling under the sealing drive today were shops at Mayapuri Road from Ring Road to Pankha Road, Hari Nagar, Ghanta Ghar side.
Most of the shops sealed were dealing in ball-bearing.
Though, the sealing operation was by and large peacefully conducted, there was some resistence to the drive in Hari Nagar.
With today's sealing, a total number of 984 properties have been sealed since November 8.
Meanwhile, a total of 692 traders in the notified areas who had submitted affidavits to stop misuse of their premises by June 30 have till today filed undertakings before the Monitoring committee that they had stopped misuse of their units.
The MCD in the day also clarified that the owners/occupiers of the premises who had submitted affidavits to stop misuse of their premises by June 30 are required to intimate in writing on plain paper to the Monitoring Committee that they have stopped the misuse of their properties.
The intimation should contain relevant details relating to ownership and location of property. Such owners/occupiers are not required to file an affidavit to this effect.
Till today, MCD received 692 affidavits/undertakings relating to stoppage of misusers. The maximum number of 178 undertakings have been filed from Shahdara (North), 124 from Najafgarh, 123 from West Zone and 60 from Central Zone.
