Advani to meet PM on sealing issue in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 16: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani will lead a BJP delegation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh this evening in connection with the Supreme Court mandated sealing drive in Delhi.

Party sources said the Prime Minister's Office had fixed time for the meeting at 1900 rpt 1900 hours.

Other members would include BJP General Secretary Arun Jaitley and Delhi BJP President Harsh Vardhan.

Sources said Mr Advani was likely to impress upon the Prime Minister to do 'something' to save more than 4,00,000 traders to be affected by the sealing.

It would also be impressed on Dr Singh that the party had been suggesting that the only way to resolve the situation was that the government bring an ordinance or a Bill providing for one-time amnesty to the traders as was done in the case of black money.
