Congress parries question on Rahul Mahajan
New Delhi, June 14: The Congress today refrained from commenting on a question on the observation made by Pravin Mahajan, accused of murdering BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, regarding his brother's son Rahul, who faces drug abuse charges.
Congress Spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan's attention was drawn to Pravin Mahajan's remark in Mumbai that ''an explanation should be sought from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also since whatever happened was in the bungalow allotted to Pramod Mahajan during his tenure and which is in a high security zone.'' ''It is a family issue. Pramod Mahajan is no more and, therefore, the Congress would not like to coment on his house,'' Ms Natrajan said briefing mediapersons here.
Earlier, Pravin had said in Mumbai that ''Rahul had been a scapegoat and is singled out.''
