Rahul Mahajan made a scapegoat: Pravin

Mumbai, June 14: Breaking his silence for the first time after allegedly killing his elder brother and senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, Pravin Mahajan today said his nephew Rahul, who is an accused in a drugs abouse case, has been made a scapegoat.

Speaking to mediapersons inside the police van after extension of his judicial custody, Pravin said, ''Rahul has been made a scapegoat and is being singled out.'' ''His birthday is in next month and whatever Rahul is doing, his parents are responsible for that. They have not taught him properely. This cannot be described as a family tragedy but it is a national tragedy,'' he commented.

''An explanation should be sought from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also since whatever happened was in the bungalow allotted to Pramod Mahajan during his tenure, which is a high security zone,'' Pravin observed.
