K'taka: Shettar not to comment on CM's remarks
Bangalore, Apr 24: Kartnataka Revenue Minister Jagadish Shettar today declined to comment on remarks made by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy that his party was ready to severe links with Bharatiya Janata Party and face elections.
Speaking to newsmen here he said he spoke to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and State BJP Chief Sadananda Gowda about the latest political developments. He denied that the Chief Minister's remarks would cause any dent to the image of the coalition government of both Janata Dal (Secular) and BJP. There might be some temporary problem which could be resolved soon, he hoped.
He said it was true that nominations had been done in some taluks and it could be discussed with the Chief Minister. The Coordination Committee, formed about a month ago, would soon meet to discuss such issues, he added.
The Chief Minister, had yesterday referred to the letter written to him by State BJP Chief Mr Gowda expressing his displeasure over the nomination of some people to some boards and corporations thereby violation of agreement between the coalition partners, announced that he was ready to quit and face elections.
