BJP asks Kumaraswamy to consult before taking vital decisions
Bangalore, Apr 23 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today suggested that Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, heading the JD (S)-BJP coalition government, should hold discussions with the Coordination Committee before taking important policy decisions relating to sharing of powers.
Mr Naidu's suggestion comes in the wake of state BJP President D V Sadananda Gowda recently expressing displeasure over Mr Kumaraswamy's unilateral move to appoint JD(S) members to certain co-operative institutions.
Speaking to newspersons after attending a function of the Arya Vysya Samaj to felicitate Higher Education Minister D H Shankaramurthy here, Mr Naidu said that there would be no room for any confusion or discontent, if such decisions were taken with the concurrence of the Coordination Committee, comprising leaders from both the parties. It would pave the way for the smooth functioning of the coalition government in the state, he added.
