Kollur, Karnataka Apr 23 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today termed as ''irresponsible'' state BJP President D V Sadananda Gowda's recent remarks on appointment of Chairmen to various Boards and Corporations.

''I have not made any appointment to any Board or Corporations as charged by Mr Gowda. I wish to run a coordinated and smooth government,'' Mr Kumaraswamy told repoters here.

Stating that there was no need for Mr Gowda to put pressure on the issue, he said, ''I have kept my promise to our coalition partner BJP with regard to the appointments.'' ''I never wished to become the Chief Minister post and I am ready to quit the post at any moment,'' Mr Kumaraswamy said.

The Chief Minister arrived here along with a few of his cabinet collegues and party MLAs in a bus en route to Hosnagar to attend Sri Ramayana Mahasatra celebrations at the Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt. He offered special pooja at the Sri Mookambika temple here.
