New Delhi, Mar 16: Even as the RSS endorsed the proposed integration yatra to be undertaken by Leader of the Opposition L K Advani next month, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today (Mar 16, 2006) ruled out any support to it.

VHP Chief Ashok Singhal, in reply to a question, said that in the VHP the Sants always took decisions on issues and they had decided not to support Mr Advani's yatra.

Mr Singhal was talking to newspersons in the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan after a VHP delegation submitted a memorandum to President A P J Abdul Kalam urging for a thorough inquiry into the Varanasi blasts and adequate compensation for the families of the victims.

When it was pointed out that Mr Advani was taking out the yatra for their cause, the VHP supremo said when as Home Minister, Mr Advani done nothing to effectively contain such kind of violence or naxalite activities.

Meanwhile, the BJP Parliamentary Board, the apex decision making body, will meet here tomorrow and is expected to give a green signal to the twin yatras to be taken out by Mr Advani and party president Rajnath Singh.

The BJP's Parliamentary Party and all senior leaders had fully backed the national integration yatras in which the leaders were expected to highlight the failures of the UPA government.
