ISIS Twitter case: Will cooperate with Bengaluru Police, says Mehdi's employer ITC Kolkata
Kolkata, Dec 13: The ITC, in a release issued to the media in connection with the Mehdi Masroor Biswas alias @shammiwitness case has said that it is extending all cooperation to the Bengaluru Police.[How the agencies got their man @shammiwitness]
Nazeeb Arif, Vice President, Corporate Communications, ITC Ltd Kolkata in a release issued states, " We informed Bengaluru Police about his employment status as soon as we found media reports on this issue, and have extended every co-operation with the investigation process.[Man running ISIS account picked up by Bengaluru Police]
ITC visits several technical and management institutes as part of its routine recruitment requirements. He was selected from a Campus Recruitment and has worked in a junior trainee capacity for about 2 years. In such cases, where a candidate does not have prior work experience, the Company does a reference check with the educational Institution. He did not have access to external social media platforms from the office network."
Meanwhile the Bangalore police which is seeking 7 days custody of Mehdi Masroor is likely to produce him before the 7th ACMM judge by around 8 pm.[@shamiwitness- Agencies get the man, but find no link to ISIS]
