KHORRAMSHAHR-4 DEBUTS: Iran Shatters Israel's 7 Defense Layers, Including Iron Dome, in First Strike?
Iran has reportedly deployed one of its most powerful ballistic missiles in the ongoing confrontation with Israel. The Khorramshahr-4 (also known as Kheibar) has entered the battlefield for the first time in the latest wave of attacks, marking a significant escalation in the regional conflict. According to statements from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), multiple Khorramshahr-4 heavy ballistic missiles were launched toward Israeli targets as part of Operation True Promise. Iranian sources claim the missile strike managed to pierce multiple layers of Israeli air defenses, including systems such as Iron Dome, during the attack. The Khorramshahr-4 is considered one of Iran’s most powerful medium-range ballistic missiles, with a reported range of around 2,000 kilometers and the ability to carry a warhead weighing up to 1,500 kilograms. The missile was first unveiled in 2023 and is capable of striking targets across Israel from launch sites inside Iran.
