Who is Anil Antony? BJP's Candidate from Pathanamthitta In Kerala
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced 195 names to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. As per the announcement made by BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Anil Antony will contest from the Pathanamthitta constituency in Kerala this time. BJP currently lacks representation from CPI-ruled state.
For the unversed, Kerala has 20 Lok Sabha seats, and today, the BJP announced 12 candidates in its first list. The saffron party has also announced Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar's name from the Thiruvanthananpuram to contest against Congress stalwart Shashi Tharoor, a three times Member of Parliament.

Who is Anil Antony?
Anil Antony is the son of former defense minister and Congress stalwart AK Antony. He has been selected by BJP to contest the Pathanamthitta seat this time. According to the reports, Anil Antony switched sides to join BJP last year. He was previously heading Kerala Congress' digital media wing.
The saffron wing has appointed Anil Antony as the national secretary and party spokesperson.
