Unable to bear father's torture, Kerala minor flees home
The 9 year old boy fled from home unable to bear the torture and was found by neighbours the next morning scared and starved
The Kerala police have booked a father who was torturing his 9 year old son in Thiruvananthapuram. The man is accused of making the minor son stand on an ant hill apart from beating him black and blue.
The 9 year old boy fled from home unable to bear the torture and was found by neighbours the next morning scared and starved. The neighbours found the boy on a hillock about 2 kilometers away from his residence and handed him over to officials from child helpline.

The child was produced before a magistrate who sent him to child helpline's care. The boy's hands were swollen as a result of his father's torments when his neighbours found him. A case has been registered against the father for child abuse. The father is said to be a repeat offender.
The police had registered a similar case against the father earlier when he allegedly showered his son with red ants and forced him to stand on an ant hill. The child is currently in a government home for minor boys.
