The order was issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction(DPI) after the Thiruvananthapuram Deputy Director of Education(DDE) submitted a report citing a gross violation of rules and recommended stringent action against the institution.

"The district administration will take over the functioning of the school on a temporary basis till a cogent solution is found," District Collector Biju Prabhakar has said. The report pointed out that the school did not have the necessary infrastructure facilities and that it functioned in a shed.

The report also stated that there are many schools functioning without proper recognition, and such schools were not recognised either by the state government or the Central Board of Secondary Education. The report also recommended periodic assessment of such institutions.

Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb said that there were serious lapses on the part of the school and indicated that stern action will be taken against the institution.
