Pushpa 2 Kerala Box Office Collection (Day 1): Malayalis Give Fantastic Response For 'Mallu' Arjun's Film

Allu Arjun's immense fan base in Kerala has affectionately dubbed him "Mallu Arjun," a testament to the long-standing love and admiration he enjoys in the state. At a pre-release event in Kochi, the superstar acknowledged this bond, calling Kerala his second home.

"Thank you for all the love for your adopted son, Mallu Arjun. In fact, when we got down from the flight, I told my crew, 'Welcome to my land.' That's the love I have been receiving from Kerala," he said, drawing cheers from his Malayali fans.

Arjun revealed that this affection inspired a special gesture in Pushpa 2. "I told Devi Sri Prasad we must create a song to show my love for my Kerala audience. The song Peelings starts with Malayalam verses, and I've ensured these lines are retained across all six languages the film is releasing in. This is my tribute to Kerala's love."

Kerala has reciprocated this admiration by giving Pushpa 2 a rousing reception. The Malayalam version opened with an impressive 60.33% occupancy on Thursday, earning around Rs 5 crore on its first day.

The movie recorded higher audience turnout for its night shows, with 79.23% occupancy, reflecting the growing buzz. From its Malayalam verses to its solid opening, Pushpa 2 continues to strengthen the bond between Allu Arjun and his Malayali fans.

As per the early estimates, the movie has earned over Rs 4 crore in Kerala alone.
