Trivandrum, Sept 26: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi visited Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple on Thursday and called on members of the erstwhile royal family of Travancore. Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is the richest temple with gold, coins and other assets worth Rs 320 billion.

The Gujarat chief minister arrived here on Wednesday night and is set to attend the 60th birthday celebrations of saint Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) at Amritapuri near Kollam.
Modi arrived in Trivandrum after attending a mega rally in Bhopal
Modi arrived by a special flight and was welcomed by the state BJP leaders and parties. He went to the Mascot Hotel from the airport and reportedly said nothing in front of the reporters waiting at the hotel other than just waving his hand.
Modi, who addressed a mega BJP rally in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh along with other senior party leaders earlier on Wednesday, will also address a youth conference in Trichy in Tamil Nadu later on Thursday.
