Muslims in Kerala offer prayers, celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan, was celebrated in Kerala on Friday as the moon was sighted here on Thursday, while the rest of India would celebrate it on Saturday.

In Thiruvananthapuram, people offered prayers at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was also present during the event.
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramzan, symbolises peace and brotherhood.
The festival is marked with feasts and the faithful offers prayers at mosques and idgahs to seek blessings of the divine.
People, especially children dress up in their traditional fineries to mark the festival that spreads the message of brotherhood and communal amity.
