LED bulbs to replace bouquet of flowers    

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 31: In an effort towards power conservation, guests at government functions, organised by the electricity department, will be welcomed with LED bulbs rather than bouquet of flowers.

"In the electricity department, in all public programmes, the guests would be welcomed with a LED bulbs rather than bouquet of flowers," Power Minister Kadakampally Surendran today said.

"Such a step should be seen as government's efforts towards power conservation," the minister said in a Facebook post today. He urged all employees to cooperate to ensure the success of the environment friendly decision.
