Kerala Weather Update: Rain Lashes Several Parts Of Thiruvananthapuram
Kerala has finally got relief from the heat as rains lashed the state capital Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
In the capital city, a fifteen-minute downpour led to waterlogging, particularly in Thampanoor, causing inconvenience to residents. According to the Central Meteorological Department, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds reaching speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour.

Rainfall is predicted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, and Thrissur.
In the next 24 hours, the weather in the capital is expected to be generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
The maximum temperature recorded on the 11th of April stood at 36.3 degrees Celsius, showing a departure from the normal temperature by 2.7 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature recorded on the 12th of April was 26.7 degrees Celsius, with a departure from the normal temperature by 1.6 degrees Celsius.
Relative humidity was measured at 83% at 8.30 am and 69 per cent at 5.30 pm on Thursday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the likelihood of summer showers accompanied by thunder and lightning across the state in the next five days amidst soaring temperatures.
