Kerala Plus 2 Results Declared: 2.88 Lakh Students Pass Class 12 Exams In 2025

The results of the Kerala plus two higher secondary examination and Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE) were announced on Thursday afternoon. This year, the pass percentage stands at 77.81%, a decrease of 0.88% from 78.69% last year.

Minister for General Education V Sivankutty said that a total of 288,394 students have passed the exams out of 3,70,642 students. It has to be noted that 4,44,807 students have registered this year, for the class 12 exams in Kerala.

As per the minister, 30,145 students have secured A+ in all subjects. Girls have outperformed boys again. While 86.65% of girls have cleared the exams, the pass percentage among boys stands at 68.44%.

Total Passed: 2,88,394 students out of 3,70,642 examinees.

Top Performers: 30,145 students secured A+ in all subjects.

Gender Gap: Girls continued their dominance with an 86.65% pass rate, compared to boys' 68.44%.

District-wise Performance: Ernakulam topped with 83.09% pass rate, while Malappuram had the highest number of candidates (64,426) and A+ holders (4,735).

Stream-wise Results: Science led with 83.5%, followed by Commerce (74.21%) and Humanities (69.16%).

School-wise Performance:

Government Schools: 73.23% (1,20,027 passed out of 1,63,904).

Aided Schools: 82.16% (1,49,863 passed out of 1,82,409).

Unaided Schools: 75.91% (18,218 passed out of 23,998).

Special Schools: Highest pass rate at 86.40% (286 out of 331).

Supplementary Exams

The board will conduct the supplementary exams between June 23 and 27. Those who have failed and want to better their score can apply for the said exams in their respective schools.

Exam & Evaluation Details:

The exams were held from March 3 to March 26, 2025, under strict supervision. Results were processed digitally for faster access.

Practical exams began on January 22, while model exams were conducted from February 17 to 21.

Exams were conducted across 1,999 centers in Kerala and Gulf countries.

Around 24,000 teachers were involved in supervision and evaluation.
