Thiruvananthapuram, April 7: RSP's KM Noordeen withdrew his name as the United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate from Kaipamangalam constituency in Thrissur district of Kerala on Thursday. He said a sudden realisation of his worthiness to contest the May 16 polls made him take the decision.

Noordeen contested the 2014 Lok Sabha election as an AAP candidate from Chalakudy but lost to actor Innocent. He resigned later and joined the Congress-led UDF which has been ruling the southern state for the last five years.
His sudden pull-out will create fresh concerns for the ruling alliance which is already having a lot of challenges including a strong anti-incumbency and dissent within its ranks over selection of candidates for the upcoming polls.
