From Ms to Mrs: Kerala minister issues circular

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 28: The youngest and the only woman minister in Kerala P.K.Jayalakshmi has issued a circular recently. The circular asks everyone to address her as 'sreemathi' instead of 'kumari'.

Jayalakshmi is the youngest minister in the present Oommen Chandy Government. She was elected as the Minister for Welfare of Backward Communities at the age of 30.

Jayalakshmi married her childhood friend AnilKumar on May 10, 2015. The change of marital status of the minister didn't prevent others from addressing her as 'Kumari Jayalakshmi'.

A displeased minister issued an order requesting everyone to change the prefix to 'sreemathi'.
