Rape
Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 3: Two accused have been arrested in connection with the rape case in a star category resort near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The two men have been identified as workers of a pest control company.

20-year-old Lucky Nath and 22-year-old Personagam allegedly entered into the victim's room with keys and unfastened the hinges of the backdoor. Later they again entered into the room around 2 am and raped the 40-year-old woman.

The victim, an employee of a Bangalore-based IT company, told police that she heard a knock on her door at around 2 am early Friday and within minutes, two men entered her room from glass doors facing her balcony and assaulted her.

The woman had come to the star category resort with a group of colleagues as part of an official trip. She along with her colleagues returned to Bangalore.

A Kerala Women's Commission team, which is investigating the incident, raised concerns about the lack of safety at the isolated resort.

It has been reported that there were not enough latches or bolts on the doors or CCTVs at the resort, and there were just seven security personnel to guard the 15 acre property.
