29 Keralites, Tamils evacuated from Libya
Thiruvananthapuram, May 10: Twenty-nine people from nine families residing in Kerala and Tamil Nadu will reach here on Thursday (May 12) following their evacuation from Libya, state official sources said on Tuesday (May 10).
The official in Kerala chief minister's office told IANS the rescued families, which include infants, will reach Kochi via Dubai around 8.30 am on Thursday after travelling from Tripoli to Istanbul, Turkey.

Several of those evacuated were employed at Zawiya Hospital in Sabratha city in Libya. The kin of the Keralites working in Sabratha were demanding their evacuation following the death of a nurse and her son in shelling at their houses in Sabratha in March.
