Watch Zerodha's Nithin Kamath's Deepfake Video, CEO Highlights Misuses Of Artificial Intelligence
Deep Fake Video: To highlight concerns and misuses of artificial intelligence, Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath shared his own deepfake video on Wednesday. The latest technology which can ease technology-related work, can have many drawbacks. Recently, actors Rashmika Mandhana, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, businessman Ratan Tata, and many others became the victims of deepfake morphed videos.
But this time, the technology was used for an educational purpose as Zerodha's Nithin Kamath himself shared his video made using artificial intelligence. In a long post on the micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter), Kamath said many businesses do video KYCs online using ID cards or address proofs from Digilocker or Aadhaar, which can be easily fooled by the artificial intelligence.

"But as the deepfakes improve, I think it will only become harder over time to validate if the person on the other side is real or AI-generated. This problem will be bigger for banks that have more stringent regulatory requirements during onboarding," he added.
The rise of AI technology and deepfakes pose a large risk to the financial services industry.

"It will be interesting to see how the regulations around this evolve. Going back to the physical way of opening accounts will bring the growth of the entire sector to an abrupt stop," Kamath added.
Kamath stunned everyone at the end of the video stating that the person you saw was not him, instead his a deepfake.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also highlighted the cons of artificial intelligence.
"Deepfake is a challenge for the whole world... AI tools going into the hands of terrorists are also a big threat. If terrorist organizations get AI weapons, this will have a huge impact on global security... We need to plan how to tackle this," Prime Minister Modi had said during a summit aiming to ensure ethical use of artificial intelligence.
