J&K assembly elections: Security beefed up, alert issued ahead of Narendra Modi's rally
Srinagar, Dec 8: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally, security has been beefed up in the Valley. Keeping in mind the recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the assembly elections, even the Indo-Pak border has been sealed.

Apart from the Police, paramilitary forces have also been roped in to keep an strict vigil in the state. The BSF is on high alert along the LoC and are likely to probe any activities along the LoC.

On the other hand, in Samba sector, a 32-kilometre stretch along the LoC has been sealed. The terror attacks last week have resulted in a strict vigilance in the state.

Security agencies have received inputs from intelligence agecies that militants are trying to disrupt Narendra Modi's rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. Following these inputs a high alert has been sounded in the valley.

Narendra Modi will be addressing two rallies on Dec 8, one in Srinagar and other in Anantnag. Security officials have received inputs that LeT militants may disrupt Modi's rally.
