J&K polls: Time to end dynastic politics in state, says Smriti Irani at campaign rally
Jammu, Dec 13: Union Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani on Friday said at an election rally in Krishnapur area of Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir that the time has come to end decades-old dynastic politics in the state.
Campaigning for BJP candidate Nand Kishore Sharma, Irani said the father-son and father-daughter dynastic politics should be ended. The two main regional parties of Jammu and Kashmir, namely, the National Conference and the People's Democratic Party are under the family influence of the Abdullahs and the Muftis, respectively.

Irani said the previous governments of Jammu and Kashmir failed to provide relief to the people from the dual problems of militancy and corruption. She accused the NC, Congress and PDP of leaving the state devoid of development. She said successive state governments failed to utilise crores of rupees meant for development in the state.

BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma was also present on the occasion.
