South Africa Thrash Australia by 134 Runs
Lucknow, Oct 12: South Africa continued their impressive form in the Cricket World Cup with a dominant 134-run win over Australia in Lucknow on Thursday. Quinton de Kock's brilliant century (109 off 106 balls) laid the foundation for South Africa's total of 311/7, while their fast bowlers then skittled Australia for 177 all out in 40.5 overs.
De Kock, Markram Star with the Bat

De Kock, who will retire from ODI cricket after the World Cup, was in sublime touch as he struck eight boundaries and five maximums in his knock. He was well supported by Aiden Markram, who smashed 56 off 44 balls as the Proteas posted the highest ODI total in Lucknow.
South African Quicks Wreak Havoc
The South African quicks were in devastating form with the new ball, with Lungi Ngidi (1/18) and Marco Jansen (2/54) setting the tone with some incisive bowling. Kagiso Rabada (3/33) then joined the party, removing Steve Smith (19) and Josh Inglis (5) in consecutive overs to leave Australia reeling at 70/6.
Australia's Batting Woes Continue
Australia's batting woes continued as they were bundled out for 177 all out, with only Marnus Labuschagne (46) and Mitchell Starc (27) offering any resistance. The loss leaves Australia second-last in the 10-team table, and they will need to turn things around quickly if they are to make an impact in the tournament.
South Africa's comprehensive victory over Australia has reaffirmed their status as serious contenders for the World Cup title. Their bowling attack looks particularly potent, and with de Kock in such fine form with the bat, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the tournament.
