He shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel, stating, "I would truly rate this as an even bigger and more colossal achievement than any other World Cup that we have won, because it inspires girls to play the game and consider the sport as a career option."

After their win, the team shared the trophy with cricket legends like Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami. Ashwin commended Harmanpreet and her team for acknowledging their predecessors' contributions. He noted that such gestures are rare in men's cricket. "The Indian men's team has never done something like this," he remarked.

Ashwin recalled Harmanpreet's remarkable innings against Australia in 2016-17 and the subsequent heartbreak against England. He mentioned that despite past challenges, the women's team has shown resilience and growth. "Even yesterday, the Indian team gave the trophy to Mithali Raj. Why did they do that? I actually take my hat off to the Indian women's team for that," he added.
