Mohun Bagan SG Dominates Mohammedan Sporting with 4-0 Victory in ISL Clash

Mohun Bagan Super Giant secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Mohammedan SC in an Indian Super League match on Saturday. Mohammedan SC had a chance when Manvir Singh Saini headed Mirjalol Kasimov's corner towards goal, but Vishal Kaith tipped it over. However, frustration boiled over for Kasimov, who was sent off after kicking Tom Aldred just before half-time.

Second Half Action

The second half saw Alexis Gomez almost scoring from a free-kick. Later, Cummings' free-kick was mishandled by Padam Chhetri, giving Manvir Singh an opportunity which was eventually cleared by Mohammedan defenders. However, Manvir scored his second goal in the 53rd minute with a header from Cummings' cross.

Carlos Franca attempted to create opportunities for Mohammedan after the drinks break but was thwarted by Mohun Bagan's defence. The Mariners continued their dominance as Cummings' free-kick led to another goal for Subhasish Bose in the 43rd minute after Maclaren's assist.

Despite some promising moments for Mohammedan SC, Mohun Bagan's defence remained resolute throughout the match. The Mariners' comprehensive win solidified their position at the top of the league standings.
